If you have ever had a nice shiny car in near perfect condition and worried that someone is going to park next to you and jam their car door into your car's bodywork then this is for you!
Coverzone have now developed a side protection buffer system that they can install in your new cover prior to despatch. This clever option permanently fixes a strip of high impact buffer pads along the side of the car in the door and side panel area where they are most vulnerable to door dings and scuffs.

The buffer pads are permanently fitted to the cover with double stitching and whilst they do not absolutely guarantee that your car will remain in pristine condition, they will provide much more protection in all those visible areas that are both costly and difficult to repair.
Once we receive the order for your new cover with side protection system we will take a stock cover and our skilled machinists will add the option to the inner lining on both sides. The cover will be a little bulkier when folded but the pads cleverly concertina closed when not in use so handling and storage of the cover is still a breeze.

But before you hit the ignition, it’s essential to give your bike a thorough once-over to make sure it’s safe, smooth and summer ready

After a long winter tucked away under its cover, there’s nothing quite like rolling your motorbike out into the sunshine, ready to feel the freedom of the open road. But before you hit the ignition, it’s essential to give your bike a thorough once-over to make sure it’s safe, smooth and summer ready.
Here’s your go-to checklist for bringing your bike out of hibernation the right way.

Battery Check

Cold and inactivity can drain your bike’s battery. If you’ve had it on a trickle charger over winter, great! If not, it may need recharging or replacing. Check for:

  • Charge level
  • Corrosion on terminals
  • Secure connections

Tyres & Pressure

Rubber degrades over time, even when not in use. Inspect your tyres for:

  • Cracks or flat spots
  • Adequate tread depth
  • Correct pressure (consult your owner’s manual)

Fuel System

Old petrol can gum up the fuel system and cause poor performance. If your tank wasn’t drained before storage:

  • Consider draining and refilling with fresh fuel
  • Check fuel lines for cracks or leaks
  • Inspect the fuel filter

Oil & Fluids

Oil can degrade and separate during storage. Make sure to:

  • Check engine oil level and condition (change it if it’s been sitting for months)
  • Top up brake fluid and coolant if needed
  • Look for leaks under the bike

Chain & Drive

Your chain can dry out or stiffen during storage. Be sure to:

  • Clean and lubricate the chain
  • Adjust tension if needed
  • Inspect sprockets for wear

Brakes

Safety first. Make sure your braking system is up to the task:

  • Check brake pads for wear
  • Test front and rear brakes for firmness
  • Ensure fluid levels are within safe range

Lights, Indicators & Electrics

Even when stored, electrical components can degrade. Test:

  • Headlights (high and low beam)
  • Brake lights
  • Indicators
  • Horn

Clean & Inspect

Give your bike a good clean to remove any dust or moisture that may have built up under the cover. It’s also a great chance to:

  • Spot any rust or corrosion
  • Check for animal nests (seriously, check the airbox and exhaust!)
  • Inspect your bike cover for signs of wear or damage and consider upgrading if needed
