If you have other drivers parking near your covered car you may also consider....

Coverzone's Unique Side Protection System.

If you have ever had a nice shiny car in near perfect condition and worried that someone is going to park next to you and jam their car door into your car's bodywork then this is for you!
Coverzone have now developed a side protection buffer system that they can install in your new cover prior to despatch. This clever option permanently fixes a strip of high impact buffer pads along the side of the car in the door and side panel area where they are most vulnerable to door dings and scuffs.

The buffer pads are permanently fitted to the cover with double stitching and whilst they do not absolutely guarantee that your car will remain in pristine condition, they will provide much more protection in all those visible areas that are both costly and difficult to repair.
Once we receive the order for your new cover with side protection system we will take a stock cover and our skilled machinists will add the option to the inner lining on both sides. The cover will be a little bulkier when folded but the pads cleverly concertina closed when not in use so handling and storage of the cover is still a breeze.

A simple question asked at a recent trade show that is actually hard to answer as there are so many fabrics and options that we have developed and each has its own unique qualities!

Take our best selling Stormforce fabric for example…. It’s non-scratch, waterproof, breathable, mould resistant, ultra strong and guaranteed for two years just to name its main qualities. That’s a big ask for a fabric that can be used indoors or outdoors in any climate and is machined into a tailor made cover. In fact all these qualities are not possible in a single type of material so we combine four separate layers into one very clever fabric.

This high tech production technique ensures that any car will benefit from the protection that such a cover will provide. Whilst the climate here at home is not the most extreme there are many hidden hazards that you may not even have considered. Pollen is one that is always a surprise. We are all too familiar with pollen and the effect it has on our senses. But are you aware of the damage pollen can do to your cars paintwork and interior? While allergies are the most common sign of spring and early summer, If you looked at pollen under a microscope, you will see it isn’t a smooth object; it has spores that act as little “hooks”, hooks that can latch onto our hair, our clothes, and—you guessed it—onto our cars. Pollen can also be highly acidic and that acidity can eat away at the paint on your car. What a headache a little yellow dust can cause! But don’t worry—there are some very manageable and easy things car owners can do to offset the lousy effects of pollen.

Firstly, clean the car with a proper car wash shampoo as the soapy water will neutralise the acidity of the pollen and allow efficient pollen removal. Secondly apply wax to your fully clean and dry car. This will create a protective layer making it harder for pollen to stick to your paintwork.  Also, watch where you park.  If you can park your car in a garage, do, even in the wamer months. Where that is not an option, avoid parking under trees. While they offer refreshing shade they are a hot spot for pollen and sap damage as well as bird lime. Lastly, cover your car! While we are a little biased, covering your car throughout the year is excellent way to protect it from pollen, paint fade, weather damage and pollutants.

Whilst you may not have thought about pollen as a nuisance, I bet you have worried about door dings and damages. You pick up your new car and you just want to keep that new car look for as long as possible and then someone comes along and thoughtlessly opens their car door onto your brand new shiny paintwork… nightmare! Coverzone have just developed an option for any of their covers to be upgraded to include a special buffer padding along the car body area dramatically reducing the chance of costly and unsightly panel damage.

We recognise that it’s impossible to fit a cover in every situation but if you do have a well loved car that you only use at the weekends then this £60 upgrade is a must. One of the Coverzone long term test cars is a Mini Cooper S that is in perfect condition except for a door ding on the scuttle panel and when we took the car for an estimate to repair the damage we were quoted £500. Too bad that we hadn’t developed our cover side protection system by then!
