Car Cover Buyers Guide
At first glance a car cover would appear to be a relatively simple product and should only take a few minutes to purchase. I reality they are remarkably complex and the products offered by us have been developed through many years, in fact decades!
Leaving your car exposed to the elements over time can cause premature damage, even in a garage. Strong UV rays from the sun can fade paintwork, interior seating, trim and rubber parts whereas heavy rain and snow can corrode bodywork and fittings.
If you wish to safeguard your vehicle and maintain a condition that is as close to original as possible, we firmly believe that a tailored cover would be a sensible purchase and is the next best thing to seeking dry garage storage. Besides protecting your car against the elements, it has to be highlighted that car covers also act as additional security against theft, vandalism and accidental knocks and scratches.

The Right cover for the job
While car covers for external use are often waterproof or water resistant, we also make covers for indoor (in garage) use.

 Apollo: The Coverzone Apollo cover utilises an exciting new 3 layer fabric that is ultra heavy duty and treated with a Teflon coating. This allows water droplets to bead on top of the fabric & simply run off. They are constructed from a military specification waterproof material that is remarkably robust and hard wearing and will provide the highest level of outdoor protection in any climate. These covers are made to order in our UK factory & delivery time is usually 2-3 weeks.
We manufacture this fabric in mid grey, black, bright red & dark green. Please be aware that colours will fade in bright sunlight & the grey colour will reflect more heat and uv than the other options.

 Stormforce: These are premium quality 4 layer covers that are for outdoor use in any climates & weather. The outer layers are very strong & offer good cushioning against knocks & scrapes. The third layer is a special membrane that is breathable but prevents water from penetrating the cover and the cover is soft lined for maximum care of paint and body fittings. Exclusive UK designs for your particular model ensure that the cover fits snugly and elasticated hems and a unique detachable strap system is included for ease of fitment.
Double stitched seams are used throughout to maintain a watertight finish & long life. Stormforce covers have been designed for cars that remain outdoors year round and will provide maximum protection against rain, ice, snow, frost, tree sap, birds, pets, dirt, dust, hot sunshine, scuffs & scratches.  Monsoon: These are sturdy covers that have been specially designed for outdoor, winter protection. The outer layer is robust yet pliable PVC and the cover is soft lined for maximum care of paint and body fittings. Monsoon covers fit snugly with elasticated hems and a unique detachable strap system for ease of fitment. Roof vents allow dispersal of any condensation or build up of damp.
These robust covers have been designed for cars that remain outdoors through winter & rainy seasons and will provide full protection against rain, snow, frost, tree sap, birds, dirt, dust, scuffs & scratches. Double stitching and heat sealed seams ensure long life & that the weather remains on the outside of the cover!
'Monsoon' covers offer maximum protection, yet at a sensible price. They are suitable for continual use in all winter weather conditions including very low temperatures where the fabric still remains pliable. These are winter covers and if you require a outdoor cover year round use, the Stormforce or Voyager would be a better option.

 Voyager: A very strong yet lightweight breathable cover (weighing less than 2 kilos!) for both ‘in garage’ and outdoor use. Fabric breathability ensures that damp or condensation can evaporate away from the covered car whilst water resistance is maintained by a special bonded coating that ensures that 95% of rain is shed from the fabric surface.
Voyager covers feature double stitching for strength, elasticated hems and a unique detachable strap system is included for ease of fitment with anti scratch fittings. They are manufactured from a latest generation silver fabric that reflects UV & sunshine. The construction & durability of Voyager covers makes them a favourite in both hot climates & very cold conditions. The fabric is non abrasive and compresses down to a compact size that is ideal for tucking away when not in use. The zipped storage bag is only the size of a standard laptop!

 Sahara: A traditional indoor dust cover, but at a fantastic price! These dust covers are fully breathable and 100% UV resistant to protect paintwork and prevent colour fade. Supplied with our elasticated hems and unique detachable strap system with anti scratch fittings, a Sahara cover will keep the dust and dirt off your pride and joy and keep it away from prying eyes.
Sahara fabric has been selected for its special qualities including breathability, non absorbency, mould resistance, non-scratch, non shrink, non stretch & long life expectancy to name but a few!  Kalahari Stretch Fleece: Our premium indoor covers are hand produced in our UK factory to your specification. The fabric is a stretch variety that is skin tight & accentuates the curves & lines of the car when fitted. We manufacture them utilising soft fleece lined fabric that is similar in appearance to stretch sportswear products. You can choose from a wide range of colours and specify contrasting colour piping highlighting the side/roofline.
These covers are usually produced to order so delivery time is 2-3 weeks from time of order. The fabric is fully breathable and colourfast so these covers can be washed & will still look pristine. Correct Car, Correctly fitted Cover!
The right car cover for your vehicle can make all the difference but you should ensure that your cover is appropriately fitted. Here are a few tips to ensure that you are doing it right!
- Ensure your vehicle is clean and free from dirt and debris before cover use.
- Place the cover on the roof and unroll it down the bonnet, then unroll it down the boot.
- Next, unroll the cover on either side taking care to slot the door mirrors into pockets if the cover includes them.
- Now, move onto the front and rear bumpers, taking time to roll the cover over these sections, before checking the rest of the vehicle.
- After the cover is nicely fitted over the whole car, use the underbody straps to attach the cover under the car. Don’t pull them tight!
One rule that we always highlight above all others is not to drop your cover on the ground in any circumstances. Dirt and grit can become trapped in the lining or fabric folds and this will surely damage the paintwork of the vehicle when it is fitted next time.
When you remove the cover from the car, roll it up in a reversal of the fitting procedure and put it directly into the storage bag and zip the bag closed. This will ensure your cover is in optimum condition for next use.
